Magic Kingdom really is the happiest place on earth! If you’ve ever gone to Disney World with your family, chances are you’ve thought ‘boy I could really use a drink’ a time or two during your trip. I definitely know I have! Up until 2012 Magic Kingdom was a dry park. If you wanted a drink after a day chasing your kids around the park, you had to leave to get one.
In 2012 Fantasyland’s Beauty and The Beast themed restaurant, Be Our Guest, first offered alcohol on its menu. Before then the park was dry since it’s creation in 1971. Claims state that Walt Disney wanted to created a family friendly atmosphere in his park. Therefore, alcohol was not allowed in Magic Kingdom. Slowly over the years Be Our guest has expanded it’s offering. Let’s face it, there’s nothing like navigating a busy theme park with your toddlers and mother in law to make you really enjoy a glass of white!
While other Disney resorts like Epcot have offered multiple areas to imbibe, Magic Kingdom only had Be Our Guest. Up until now, that is.
