The Flu Attacked This Toddler’s Brain And Now He’s Fighting for His Life

Please help us in lifting this family up with warm thoughts.

This flu season has been really hard. We are getting warnings that the strain that’s going around is much harder than in previous years. Experts are urging people to get flu shots to help lessen some of the complications that can happen. It’s scary for parents who just want their kids to be safe. But, unfortunately, kids are getting the flu and it’s hitting them hard, as well. According to experts, this season has sent a lot of children to the hospital due to complications from the flu. And unfortunately, for Abby Kay Burns-Amesbury and her 3-year-old son, Jase, that’s what happened.

According to the mom’s Facebook updates, her little Jase came down with something and started to feel sick. He had a low-grade fever and a runny nose, and he seemed to be cutting a molar so she wasn’t sure if some of his symptoms were from that. However, things quickly went bad from there when one day her little energetic boy was running around and happy and the next he was placed in a medically induced coma in an attempt to save his life.

All this came from the flu, which Jase tested positive for. And the timeline of everything that happened is really scary and we need to rally our thoughts for Jase and his parents.
