5 Things to Know About New White House Communications Director – and Former ‘It Girl’ – Hope Hicks

A couple of years ago I wrote a profile on Melania Trump for a major newspaper. It was written long before anyone seriously thought she would become First Lady. I managed to find a few quotes she and her husband made about their relationship. I guess the Trumps must have found them a tad embarrassing and I got an email from Hope Hicks who worked on their publicity team.

She wanted to know where the quotes came from. They were comments the couple made about their sex life on The Howard Stern Show. You couldn’t dispute them. In the end I was right. She was wrong. But I noted she was ready to pounce to defend her boss. Two years later Hicks has just been named the interim White House Communications Director. Aside from that tidbit, here are some more quick facts about the 28-year-old.
